Where can I go to send or receive a MoneyGram Money Transfer?
MoneyGram is available at approximately 256,000locations worldwide. To find an agent location convenient for you, visit our Find Us tool.

How much does it cost?
MoneyGram fees vary based on the send and receive location, and the dollar amount being sent.

Use our How Much tool to find out how much your particular transaction will cost. In addition to a the transfer fee, a currency exchange rate may apply.

Can I send money online?
Yes. Money transfers can also be made online with our online money transfer service.

How do I pay for the transaction?
MoneyGram agents accept cash only for transactions at agent locations.

Customers can use Visa®, MasterCard® or ACH debit of their bank account when sending money online.

How quickly does the money get there?
Money is usually available for pickup within 10 minutes - subject to agent hours and availability - for most types of transactions.

How will the transaction be paid out to the receiver?
Money transfers are typically paid out in cash (U.S. or local currency) depending on destination, dollar amount and availability.

Other methods of payout could include: travelers check, money order, MoneyGram money transfer check, or a combination of methods. International payouts vary based on local laws and availability as well.

What if my receiver doesn't have identification?
In the absence of a proper ID, test questions can serve as an identification method for most transactions below a certain dollar amount. Test questions can be included in a transaction, and should address something only the receiver could answer.

How much can I send at one time?
Any amount from one cent to $10,000.00 can be included in a single transaction at agent locations. Most transaction types allow up to $20,000.00 to be sent in one day. Certain restrictions apply depending on send and receive locations. Additional identification and information may be required over certain amounts. Limits vary for money transfers initiated online.

Can I use MoneyGram to fund an on-line gaming account?
No. MoneyGram does not allow money transfers intended for gaming, gambling or illegal activity. We will stop all identified transfers associated with any such activity.

What if I want a refund or need to make a change to a transaction I have already sent?
If you need to change your transfer in any way, return to the location from which it was sent. You must have some form of identification and the transaction reference number with you upon your return.

How do I find out if my receiver has received the funds I sent to him/her? 
If you are unable to contact your receiver directly, call 1-800-MoneyGram (1-800-666-3947) for to verify your transaction’s status.

What should I do if my receiver is having trouble picking up the transaction?
Your first step should be to verify that your receiver is at the correct agent location. Secondly, make sure they have the correct reference/confirmation number. Finally, verify that your receiver has a valid ID, and that the ID matches the receipt received with the send.

Is it safe to wire money to someone I don’t know?
